New York handlebar height bill

By Paul Crowe

Looking to get that perfect riding position? New York is currently considering a bill to increase handlebar height limits to shoulder level from the current 15 inches above the seat. Yeah, I’ve always thought shoulder high bars would really help in the tight twisties … Deals’s Gap anyone?

Fewer laws are better than more and I agree, just toss the limits but don’t argue that it doesn’t affect handling. I’m also in favor of no helmet laws but don’t argue it’s safer in a crash. Freedom and individual responsibility go hand in hand.
