Here's an artist working in pencil that does some really superb work. Christopher Marshall has a series of samples on his site and I think they look absolutely first rate. Personally, I like the AJS, the Vincent and the Brough Superior but they all look good. I'm always impressed with work like this, something about technical objects done with an artistic flair that just looks … [Read more...]
Motorcycle Design book
You may have noticed this book that was over on the left, "Motorcycle Design and Technology" by Gaetano Cocco. This is the new paperback version of a really good book mentioned back when we were talking about a sportbike buildoff. They have the table of contents and some of the pages online so you can get an idea of what's in it. With most new sportbikes, you have so many … [Read more...]

Tony has written a very comprehensive book, "Motorcycle Handling & Chassis Design," and more recently has offered "Suspension analysis" software. Details of both are on his website where they can also be ordered. Kevin Cameron, technical editor of Cycle World magazine wrote the foreward for … [Read more...]
More ENV observations

It has an aluminum frame and swingarm (with an enclosed monoshock), belt drive, good ground clearance and suspension travel, in other words, this could really work. Seeing … [Read more...]
