Lo Go Single by Tim Cameron

By Paul Crowe

When I have a few extra minutes, I like to stop by Tim Cameron Design to check out his graphics. This bike is his LoGo Single and just like all of his other work it's absolutely stunning. Of course, one of the other cool features of his work is that it's all in the computer, totally digital. I've said it before, he does great work. … [Read more...]

Hydrogen Motorcycle – details and picture

By Paul Crowe

Here's more information on the hydrogen motorcycle I mentioned last night. Called the ENV (emissions neutral vehicle) it has a top speed of 50mph and a range of 100 miles. Of course, this will improve as the technology is advanced. Built by Intelligent Energy, they designed the ENV to look very clean and simple and combined with a sound level about the same as the computer … [Read more...]

Fat Tire Sportbikes

By Paul Crowe

Fat tires on choppers are commonplace but it isn't quite as common on sportbikes, yet. Custom Sportbike Concepts of Orlando, Florida have fat tire kits for selected sportbikes that put a monster rear tire out back for a truly phat look. I have to say it looks pretty cool. The photo at right is one of their custom project bikes, a Hayabusa, that has a lot of other very trick … [Read more...]

Vectrix electric scooter

By Paul Crowe

New designs keep coming and now here's the Vectrix, an electric scooter with decent performance. Top speed of 62mph, range of 68 miles, 0-50mph 6.8 seconds, recharges to 80% in 2 hours, full charge in 3 hours from a standard wall outlet. It looks like a nice design and their site has quite a few variations including what looks like a race or sport version. For shorter range and … [Read more...]

Thunder Star 1200 Diesel by Star Twin

By Paul Crowe

Stop the presses! er... stop the keyboards, I love this! Star Twin, a company over in Holland, has designed and built the Thunder Star 1200 TDI Sportbike. This is a 1200cc, three cylinder turbocharged direct injection diesel. They started with a 3 cylinder diesel engine from the VW Lupo, redesigned numerous parts using SolidWorks 3D computer modeling software, created patterns … [Read more...]

American Cafe Racers

By Paul Crowe

I've made lots of comments about U.S. builders stuck in the chopper world, so I thought it might be a good idea to check up on some links recommended by a couple of readers. (Thanks Doug and Jesse) I'm glad I did. American Cafe Racers is the creation of Mike Cook, who has a wide ranging and extensive background with the likes of Dan Gurney's All American Racers, Cosworth … [Read more...]
