Motorcycles as Investments – Is Now the Time?

By Paul Crowe

Contrary to the doom and gloom of TV talking heads and most politicians, things are nowhere near as bad as we're being led to believe. Unfortunately, with many investors heading for the exits and stock prices way down your 401k could be depreciating rapidly and you might be looking for a nice long term place to put your money. How about a motorcycle? Have you seen the TV ad … [Read more...]

2009 Confederate C120 Renaissance Fighter

By Paul Crowe

Confederate Motors has put more photos of their new Confederate Fighter up on their web site, or more accurately the "C120 Renaissance Fighter." It's a much better look at how everything goes together, it was difficult to get an idea of proportions from the single perspective of the catalog shot. One thing that would be helpful is a photo of a rider on the bike to get an … [Read more...]

Marisa Miller on Harley Davidson Muscle

By Paul Crowe

Harley Davidson is about to launch a series of ads for the V-Rod Muscle featuring supermodel Marisa Miller. What's not to like? Harley Davidson press release: To emphasize the non-traditional pairing of sophisticated style and brute strength, Harley-Davidson chose to launch the new 2009 V-Rod Muscle in a distinctly non-traditional way—by teaming up with American … [Read more...]

Erik Buell in Time Magazine

By Paul Crowe

Erik Buell and Buell Motorcycles got a little publicity in Time Magazine this week in a very positive article. The article highlights how working at Buell is different, if you're on the assembly line you have to know several … [Read more...]

The Neiman Marcus Christmas book has a little something you might be interested in, it's called the Confederate Fighter from the Confederate Motor Company. They're making just 45 and you can have yours for only $110,000. If you want to blend in, this is not your bike. The catalog makes it seem they have a special edition of some sort but there are specs for a 2009 … [Read more...]

Ducati SportClassic GT 1000 Touring

By Paul Crowe

Ducati has just introduced the latest version of their SportClassic line, the GT 1000 Touring. It has all of the 1970s flavor you could want and to my eyes, it looks pretty sweet. A 2 valve, 992 cc, fuel injected, desmo L-twin with 92 hp and 67 foot pounds of torque runs through a 6 speed box. The bike weighs 407 pounds. The bike is black with a white stripe, there are … [Read more...]
