Red Gladiator 2007 AMD World Championship – 3rd

By Paul Crowe

Red Gladiator by Hot Dock Custom Cycles of Japan placed 3rd in this year's AMD World Championship. A lot more conventional than either Hulster 8 Valve or Chicara Art Two, it displays some very nice craftsmanship and attention to detail. I think the filler caps are pretty neat, they look like little bank vault doors with locking rods. The engine is a Harley Davidson but the … [Read more...]

Chicara Art Two 2007 AMD World Championship – 2nd

By Paul Crowe

Chicara Nagata of Chicara Motorcycles came in second this year at the AMD World Championship after winning last year. Chicara Art Two is a flathead powered chrome covered custom that continues the narrow tire theme also used by the winner, Hulster 8 Valve. Chicara Art 2 is not what I would call a rideable motorcycle, the rider position is pretty extreme, the small headlight … [Read more...]

SE Service of Sweden is the winner of the 2007 AMD World Championship in Sturgis, South Dakota. After taking 3rd place in 2006 they returned to take home the win. The Hulster 8 Valve, is a board tracker powered by a custom engine using a knucklehead bottom end with custom built cylinders and heads. The cylinders are cast in bronze while the heads are aluminum. The valve … [Read more...]

Nortorious by Roger Goldammer

By Paul Crowe

Roger Goldammer has built another stunning piece, this time it's called Nortorious. Based on a featherbed style frame, Roger used a much modified, supercharged, single cylinder Harley Davidson engine like the one first seen on Trouble. The single front cylinder displaces 965cc and uses the rear head. A Rotex supercharger is mounted in place of the rear cylinder. Loads of … [Read more...]

Nortley Fartster Cafe Racer for sale

By Paul Crowe

Here's another very cool cafe racer built in the Norvin tradition, except this Norton featherbed frame has a Harley Davidson Sportster engine for power, leading the builder, Buck Pilkenton, to twist his acronym making powers to the max to come up with the name, Nortley Fartster (NORTon harLEY FeAtheRbed sporTSTER). Hey, it works! The Nortley Fartster has been around for a … [Read more...]

Hellion Yamaha Powered Big Twin by Greggs Customs

By Paul Crowe

Here's another take on a big twin custom with a sport bike attitude, this is the Hellion by Greggs Customs. Powered by a Yamaha Road Star Warrior 102 cubic inch V-Twin engine in a 4130 chromoly tube frame, most of the parts and pieces that make up this bike were fabricated in house by Greggs Customs. I saw this bike a couple of months ago and forgot about it until Hugo … [Read more...]
