Twin Engine Twin Turbo Custom Motorcycle

By Paul Crowe

This twin V-Twin, twin turbo custom motorcycle debuted at Biketoberfest last fall and took Best in Class at the Rat's Hole Custom Bike Show. It was built by A1 Cycles of Wellington, Florida and is called "All In." The bike runs a 360 rear tire and a 310 front, not exactly a sportbike, but it's interesting nevertheless. The twin engines put out a reported 550 horsepower with one … [Read more...]

INOX Stainless Steel Honda CBX Custom

By Paul Crowe

As I was browsing through Sabine Welte's Extreme Bikes, I came across this Honda CBX powered stainless steel custom. The bike has been around for 5 or 6 years already but I can't remember seeing it before. It looks like the European magazines have covered it quite a bit so this may be old news to you. Otto Nijs of Holland, decided to design a motorcycle around the CBX engine … [Read more...]

EJ Potter Widow Maker Dragbike For Sale

By Paul Crowe

EJ Potter, the Michigan Madman," built a continuously evolving "widow maker" Chevy powered drag bike over the years, a crazy machine with the V8 mounted sideways and direct drive to the rear wheel. When the engine was fired and up to speed, he kicked out the stand and off he went in a cloud of tire smoke, aiming the bike the best he could. It was always one helluva … [Read more...]

Red Buell Custom Kit by GS Motor Company

By Paul Crowe

Greg Socha runs a machine shop and custom motorcycle shop building rolling chassis for retro customs. Some of his potential customers were looking for a Sportster based bike and Greg also wanted something with a bit more compliant rear suspension for his back, which had been abused from years as a former motocross racer so Greg went to work. The Red Buell by GS Motor … [Read more...]

Perimeter Disc Brake Rotors

By Paul Crowe

The perimeter disc brake rotors on the "Vinnie" I wrote about yesterday do a nice job of keeping the wheel open for a very clean look and one comment asked the question why more motorcycle manufacturers don't use them. Pretty good question in my mind since they seem to make a lot of sense and Buell is using them very effectively on their bikes. If you use only one disc you … [Read more...]

Matt Hotch Vinnie – Vincent Powered Custom

By Paul Crowe

The last time I checked up on Matt Hotch, two time Biker Build Off champion, he had just built the V-Lux, a custom styled in the wide tire and chrome tradition that's been popular with builders for some time. Checking up again shows he's moved quite a distance away from the heavy chrome show bike style to this much, much more pleasing bike that looks like you could ride it all … [Read more...]
