Spring opens with snow

By Paul Crowe

Just a comment about our local weather. There were a few brave souls out riding last Friday and Saturday even though temperatures struggled in the 30's to almost 40 degrees. I guess I don't have that sort of commitment. Some riders in southern California get depressed over a long bout of constant rain, (wait a minute, what about that song? "It never rains in southern ...") I … [Read more...]

Kawasaki builds a new website

By Paul Crowe

Must be the season for new websites. I mentioned below about Performance Machine introducing their new site and now Kawasaki has done the same. It has a huge amount of info but I think they made a big mistake. If you want to get in and use it, you need Flash and a fairly fast computer. Maybe with all of the fast Kawasakis running around they figure everyone has fast equipment. … [Read more...]

Hydrogen motorcycle

By Paul Crowe

Just the other day I was wondering about this, suppose they came up with some new motorcycle engine that was completely silent or just gave off a little whine, would you still want to ride it? New Performance Machine website

By Paul Crowe

There's been a lot of mention in the last few days about gas prices spiking upwards in the next week. I've already noticed about 7 or 8 cents in the last week and they are saying we're looking at about a quarter or so. Good reason to be riding, too bad we can't do that up in the northeast just yet. Another good reason for bikes like the Thunder Star 1200 TDI Diesel. 150mpg … [Read more...]

Oxtar features roadracers as models

By Paul Crowe

The Kneeslider's European news bureau, (ok, I saw this on Susanne's blog) picked up these new ads by Oxtar featuring their roadracing boots. Nice boots. The ads feature three roadracers wearing Oxtar boots and nothing else. This is advertising at its best since we don't get distracted from the product by useless clothing and other items strewn around the room. I like it. … [Read more...]
