We've talked about Chinese motorcycles here and here and cars here and other products, too, on quite a few occasions, seems they want to play in the free world, sell in the free world and get money from the free world but free speech? Oooh, that's too scary! They are blocking blogs, have been for a little while but they seem to be stepping up the pace, now all Typepad blogs … [Read more...]
Bricklin not impressed with GM lawsuit
Malcolm Bricklin is defying GM and their threats of lawsuits over the Chery name when he imports the Chinese car beginning in 2007. According to Bricklin: General Motors must resort to unfounded legal attacks to make up for their declining sales and unimaginative product line This from the fellow importing a car that is a direct copy of the Daewoo Matiz. More Chinese ripoffs
Since Pennsylvania is the home state of The Kneeslider, this story hits a little closer to home. Zippo lighters are manufactured in Bradford, PA, have been since they started. Malcolm Bricklin, who's planning to import the Chery, seems to see no … [Read more...]

The photo here shows the Chevy Daewoo Matiz and the Chinese Chery QQ soon to be sold in the US by Malcolm Bricklin. GM is ready to sue but this constant legal nonsense is going to get old. They'll keep doing it and just … [Read more...]

I've been reading the book "The World Is Flat: A Brief History of the Twenty-first Century" by Tom Friedman and in it, he is interviewing a Chinese official who says: Chinese people first were the employees and working for the big foreign manufacturers, and after … [Read more...]
