More automatic motorcycles – now from China

By Paul Crowe

Had an interesting comment yesterday on my post about the Honda DN-01 automatic sports cruiser. Tom mentioned a motorcycle built in China, the CFMoto V5. (That's version 5, not a V5 engine, don't get excited) I had never heard of it, so I took a look. If you jump over to their (very slow) site, you'll see a small displacement (244cc) motorcycle with a CVT trannsmission. You'll … [Read more...]

High gas prices – China fuel shortage

By Paul Crowe

OK, I'm smiling. One of the reasons for high gas prices is huge worldwide demand, no small part being the Chinese demand from all of the new drivers in that booming economy. China has a large number of companies that seem to exist for the sole purpose of producing illegal knockoffs of successful products. This problem … [Read more...]

By Paul Crowe

Checked your inbox lately? Good chance there's more than a few offers for a cheap Rolex watch or Microsoft Office for $29 or prescription drugs at rock bottom prices, the knockoffs are everywhere, cheap, unauthorized and illegal copies of the real thing. Designer clothes and fashion accessories are a big target, too. Why? There's big money in promoting and selling the look or … [Read more...]

China bidding for US companies

By Paul Crowe

Chinese companies are trying to buy Maytag, the appliance manufacturer and Unocal, the US oil producer. They want our companies and our jobs but just say no to free speech. It's like I said before, they'll just keep coming and wear you down and US companies keep running over there with dollar signs in their eyes. American CEO's making deals in China that build up their … [Read more...]
