1982 Supercharged Honda CBX by Randakk – Updated – No Reserve!

By Paul Crowe

Supercharged CBX by Randall Washington of Randakk's
Supercharged CBX by Randall Washington of Randakk’s – no reserve sale!

Randall Washington of Randakk’s Cycle Shakk has been building specialty items for Honda GL1000s for a long time and for Honda CBXs, too. He comes up with all of those things you wish were available when these bikes were new, but never were. What we have here, is Randakk’s version of the proper CBX, with a unique supercharger set up for the inline six.

As noted in the listing, turbo installations are pretty common on these bikes, but blowers are very rare. He doesn’t know of more than 4 or 5 anywhere in the world and you probably will not come across another one this nice. That said, this bike is not for everyone. It’s a one off installation, no parts on any shelf if something breaks, but if you’re mechanically inclined and able to tweak and fabricate when necessary, this might be an excellent opportunity to have a really sweet and unique sport touring rig.

The extra cool thing about this bike is it’s fitted with all sorts of Randakk’s other accessories like his six into six exhaust and a long list of high end pieces making this package pretty exotic.

If you would like a CBX with an additional helping of horsepower, it’s for sale on eBay. Listing has ended. Did not reach reserve. Bidding ended at $15,002.26.

Well, it looks like you have another chance. read below …

UPDATED: It’s back at auction, but this time he made it a no reserve sale. For a bike like this from a known seller with an excellent reputation, it’s a deal that’s hard to pass up if you are at all in the market for a high performance, exotic CBX that will be the center of attention at any Honda gathering, or any bike night, for that matter.

And then there’s this:

Important: This bike has a BRAND NEW Engine that was lightly broken in by J.R. Luksik – then upgraded with the heavy duty rods, custom pistons, etc.. The engine alone represents a $7K+ investment to duplicate ….assuming you could find another brand new engine! There are only approximately 1,850 miles total on this engine since new!

If you hesitated before when he had a reserve, look at this one again.

It’s for sale on eBay right now with no reserve. There isn’t another one of these out there if you miss it. Just sayin’ …

Listing is over. Sold for $11,600.00. Very good buy for someone.

And here I thought a stock CBX was nuts. Looks like it was well taken care of.
