1940 Indian 4 Cylinder

There’s always been a strong demand for most every model of Indian motorcycle, but the ones designed around the inline 4 cylinder engine are among the most prized among collectors, roll up on one of these and expect a crowd to gather.

This one, as so often happens, was owned by a man who has now passed away and it needs a new home with someone who appreciates what a fine motorcycle these really were. If you’re considering this one, you’ll need to check out the details carefully with the seller, the listing doesn’t have much history. Of course, anyone looking at this is probably knowledgeable enough to figure out what is or isn’t original. It appears to be in very good condition, the restoration is probably recent. Looks like a nice one.

It’s for sale on eBay. Listing has ended. Sold for $50,000.
