World’s Fastest Indian DVD

By Paul Crowe

The World’s Fastest Indian DVD will be coming out June 13, 2006. It’s available now for preordering so you’ll be able to see it as soon as it’s released.

As often happens with movies like this, they get distributed to a limited number of theaters and though most of us would happily pay at the box office to see it, we never get the chance. If you never saw the movie in your local moviehouse, order now and have your friends over for the premiere showing at your house. Popcorn is optional but Indian T shirts are proper attire.

Sure there aren’t many motorcycle movies out there and I did manage to catch this in the theater. But I thought this movie was kind of boring.

the monetary value of intellectual property is nothing if someone is unwilling to sell you it. it ceases to become a “product” and becomes a series of ones and zeros that is sitting around on morpheous waiting for someone to download them and burn them to a DVD. normally I feel bad about pirated movies but when someone mentioned they had downloaded it and would lend me a copy…

still, it’s good to see it come out. I wasn’t sure if it would even get a zone 1 release anytime this year. maybe the dvd will have enough bonus features to get me to buy it. most likely the studio will hold back any extra footage for 6 months before releasing a “special edition”

maybe boring if you’re 25 or so. I saw it as a sincere attempt to present the brave accomplishment of someone who would otherwise be rocking his retirement away on his front porch. I loved it!

I loved the movie. I know a guy thats a retired tool & die maker that has finagled an fe ford big block into a Datson 280Z, you might see it on the Iowa Speedway web sight, this movie made me think of him. We’re Ford guys and really loved the sight of the 1962 Ford Galaxie 406 cop car.
