Do you remember Mechanix Illustrated? Back in the 60’s, it was one of the best magazines a tool guy could get his hands on. It was filled with great articles and lots of plans for all kinds of home built projects that were actually doable. Sometimes, today, the projects you see in magazines are so complex few readers would even try to build them.
Vintage Projects is a site filled with plans that look a lot like they came right out of MI or early Popular Mechanics or similar mags. This pocket bike is just the kind of thing someone could build and have a blast with. This site has all types of shop machinery, stuff you can build for around the house, fun to look through. I miss those early mags, probably why I like Make magazine, but sometimes their site strays into really odd territory. Anyway, that’s where I found this link.
