Lorenzo Lanzi wins in Germany

By Paul Crowe

Lorenzo Lanzi was filling in yesterday for Regis Laconi in the World Superbike race so he wanted to make sure he impressed everyone, that’s how you get a regular ride. Well, he certainly impressed. He won the pole, then in the first race, after an infraction resulting from an overrun in a corner and improper rejoining, he was penalized with a pit ride through. He was in first, dropped to 18th due to the penalty, then rode back up to eighth by the finish. In race two, he won. I would expect him to be getting a regular seat. Nice riding.

So who’ll get the axe? Toseland or Laconi?

No reason it has to be Ducati, lots of other folks saw him race.
