Trixter X-Bike

By Paul Crowe

Trixter X BikeHow do you train off season to stay in shape for riding? If you’re a racer, how do you warm up before the race? Motorcycle riding can be a strenuous physical activity and if your off season exercise level is low, your early season riding is likely to be sub par. The Trixter X Bike might be an answer.

I saw this on Two Wheel Tuesday a few weeks ago and they talked about all of the racers who use the X Bike to warm up before racing, Ricky Carmichael, Nicky Hayden, Neil Hodgson, they all ride the X Bike before getting on their motorcycles to get a total body warm-up and it works great as a trainer anytime. The big difference between this and most exercise bikes is how the bars move side to side, just like they do when you’re out of the saddle and sprinting on a real bike and the wheel freewheels when you stop pedaling just like on a real bike. In other words, this is more like riding a good road bike instead of the usual gym equipment.

If you’re thinking about some high quality exercise equipment to get the blood moving, this might be worth looking at.
