Tony Foale, author of Motorcycle Handling and Chassis Design, is moving to the U.S. after accepting a position with Segway as Director of Product Engineering. Tony’s book and seminars are jam packed with information explaining the workings of the modern motorcycle chassis and suspension.
The book is very good but the seminars are really in depth. I had the opportunity to attend one at Mid Ohio a couple of years ago and he goes into great detail on all topics. The only problem is the seminars, which are held all over the world, are few and far between. Maybe, if Tony has a little free time when he’s not working at Segway, we’ll see a few more seminars around the U.S.
It’s always interesting to see new motorcycle projects and to hear how often the builder cites Tony Foale as the source of much of the necessary knowledge required to get things right.
Tony Foale at Segway, … I can see the racing teams forming already. Welcome to the U.S. Tony.
Thanks for the tip, Andy!

Not so fast, Paul!
We need to hear more.
You don’t hire the likes of Tony Foale to design new hand grips.
What’s up at Segway!?

Well, you know what they say, Segways don’t need no stinkin speed limiters …

I share Greybeard’s suspicion that something VERY interesting may be coming out of Segway in a year or two.
