Daytona bike week is well known to most everyone who rides and Speed Channel will be providing extensive coverage of the events this year and maybe showing some folks who aren't bikers just what all the fuss is about. Starting next Tuesday, March 8th and continuing until the following Tuesday, there's an extensive programming lineup. If you can't be there, mark your calendar, … [Read more...]
Valentino Rossi at Phillip Island
Once again, as the teams test at Phillip Island, Valentino Rossi is on the top of the heap. Before breaking his own track record he watched as other riders had done the same and then went out and topped them all. What I really enjoyed seeing, though, is that second fastest is American Nicky Hayden on the Repsol Honda. I would like to see Nicky win some races this year, he has … [Read more...]
Neil Hodgson showing lots of speed
Neil Hodgson was testing some weeks ago at Daytona and was commenting on the speeds and how intimidating it was. He's been testing at Laguna Seca and was fastest among everyone there. Hayabusa and ZX12R vs. Modified Viper

Here is a video of a lot of comparison runs between several different Hayabusas from stock to big bore and nitrous and one ZX12R, highly modified as well, racing against a Viper coupe with supercharger and lots of engine mods and 883 rear wheel horsepower. The stock Busa hangs with him, the Viper … [Read more...]
Hayabusa V8 engine
Radical Extreme Sports Cars started building race cars powered by superbike engines back in 1996. They began using Suzuki engines and it looks like they have been fairly successful. Their latest creation, the SR8, goes a step farther. Instead of just dropping in a complete engine, they built a V8 by grafting two Hayabusa engines together. So far the figures are 372hp and the … [Read more...]
