Buell Firebolt Becomes Fembot in Transformers 2

By Paul Crowe

Buell transformer fembot from Transformers 2 movie

With all of the press Buell is getting these days, their PR department must be working till the wee hours of the morning or maybe the producers just thought a Buell was the best choice. Either way, according to this leaked call sheet for the upcoming Transformers 2 movie, there is a Buell Firebolt that transforms into a female robot among the various multi hinged vehicles ready to do battle with the decepticons. Hmm, … doesn’t look like a factory color.

UPDATE: The first comment below by Clive points out the Buell part is speculation not actually specified, only a motorcycle is called for. Guess we’ll have to see the movie.

Caution, spoilers in the link below.

Actually, this is incorrect. While the leaked call sheet does confirm the presence of the Arcee character and describes it as a motorcyle, there’s absolutley no mention of Buell or an XB12S, that information exists solely as speculation based on old concept renderings drawn up before the first film by Ben Procter.

    Good for Buell.
I have been a fan of their bikes for some time now.

I wonder if they are worried that they will be branding themselves as feminine to people who are currently not familiar with the bikes.

Does this mean they can reproduce now that they are gender specific?
It looks like the only parts she kept when she transformed was her turn signals.

while i love the tranformations and the animations in the movie, it’d prefer to see at least some link to the original car/bike/truck. why couldn’t the muffler become a cannon or something.

As I originally posted at Autoblog: it’ll be easy to pick Arcee out of a parking lot full of XB12R Firebolts, since it’ll be the only one with the brake rotor, exhaust headers and final drive on the LEFT side of the bike…

    @davefla

are you suggesting that the animators used a mirror image of the bike to model the robot?

Funny, the bike’s way better looking than she is. Any word on whether Shia “Tough Guy” Lebouf (sp?) is coming back? He was the worst thing about the first movie.

Cool there migth be a girl on the autobot’s side. It be cooler if there was one on the decepticon’s as well so ther would be a girl fight.

Sweet! I do really hope they go with the Buell for the final cut of the film and not a japanese bike. If not the Buell I wouldn’t mind them using the KTM 1190 RC8 hehehe….

Female bot? *heaves a sigh* figures the frailness of this thing. I was hoping for something sturdier!

Well …. I think the buell would be a crappy idea .. with the tons of sportbikes to choose from the Hayabusa would be a better choice … giving the size of the bike and the fact that there would be a place to hide the legs , head , arms , ect …. plus I would like to see a buell go head to head with any 1000cc sportbike…. hell go head to head with any 600cc while your at it …. I wish Hardly Davidson would have never paid off the NHRA
I would love to see them get killed buy the Busa’s and 1000’s …… If she is a buell in the movie I hope she gets killed off just like they did Jazzy

I think female robots are just as much a fantasy as males because robots shouldn’t need a gender. But since this is a fantasy movie I like the idea of including some girls. To ‘Boxer,’ fragile things should not always be associated with being female (look at the male decepticon, Frenzy from the 1st movie). But I do agree that this particular version of Arcee looks a bit shriveled. I would like to see some more athletic looking girl robots to represent the female fans.
