Just mentioned Michigan the other day and here's another story about the same thing, this time from Colorado. They tried to get a bill passed to OK Sunday motorcycle sales and sure enough, it went down in flames. They can sell tires and batteries and rent and repair motorcycles, they just can't sell them. I guess some very specific activities are sacrilegious while some are … [Read more...]
Motorcycle winner thinks they’re unsafe
Wouldn't you know it? A guy in Cleveland, Ohio wins a 2005 Harley Davidson Sportster in a scratch off lottery game and then says he'll sell it because he thinks motorcycles are unsafe. If that's not enough, this same guy had previously won a Cadillac in the same scratch off game. Does he have X-ray eyes or something? … [Read more...]
Build or Bust, revisited
A little while ago I wrote about the show, Build or Bust and I wasn't very impressed. Last night I was channel surfing and came across it again. The guest builder was all business and the Exile Choppers crew wasn't saying too much as he worked. Steady, methodical and in the end, he wins the bike. He was almost done and they told him if he could start it and do a burnout before … [Read more...]

He has lots of pictures on his site. … [Read more...]

If we can get 40 or 50mpg and sometimes far more, that alone should help sales especially with many motorcycles being far less expensive than the average car or truck. The problem with that idea may be … [Read more...]
Vehicle sales are off, cars, too.
Over the last week we've seen Harley Davidson announce lowered earnings and expectations and Yamaha said their production and exports were down, today, General Motors announced they lost $1.1 Billion in the first quarter. Talk is of closing up to 4 plants and cutting 20,000 to 30,000 jobs along with dropping the Buick brand. Wow. … [Read more...]
