Ducati North America has created the North American Ducati Hall of Fame for those individuals who have made the greatest contribution to the Ducati brand. Classic Bike auction

By Paul Crowe

This classic bike auction looks like a nice one. It's an estate sale for a fellow that just kept buying and collecting, he never seemed to sell anything. Over 130 great vintage and classic motorcycles just as he left them, lots of parts, too. There's also old cars and tools, it's the kind of auction that makes a guy hold on to his wallet so he doesn't get carried away. Here's a … [Read more...]

Sometimes, when an engineering project looks right there's a good … [Read more...]

Pantera Dragster

By Paul Crowe

When I mentioned extended swingarms the other day, I asked why the V-twin chopper guys weren't doing more of it instead of all of the long fork, radical rake designs we see. I saw the Pantera Dragster before but never really looked very closely. I just noticed an ad for it again and the long swingarm jumped out immediately. That's exactly what I was talking about and just goes … [Read more...]

Hayabusa video – 220mph

By Paul Crowe

It's hard to know what's real anymore but this video of a Hayabusa going 220mph looks interesting. I know bike speedometers are often somewhat optimistic and we don't know what else was done to the bike in question so without radar, I figure somewhat less. The wheelie portion was awfully fast. Is it real? Judge for yourself. But on a highway? Not smart. via Cycle World … [Read more...]
