KillaCycle Drops Electric ET Record to 7.824 Seconds

By Paul Crowe

KillaCycle keeps raising the bar by lowering its ET at the dragstrip. Running at Pomona, it ran a 7.82 @ 168 mph! We're getting into Pro Stock territory now, how long before they match the pros and beat them? KillaCycle, remember, is an all electric motorcycle, no gas, no blower, no nitrous, just electrons. This is getting interesting. Video below: … [Read more...]

Honda EVO6 Photos from Tokyo

By Paul Crowe

The Honda EVO6, introduced at the Tokyo Motor Show was a hit with many of you but the images we had previously were a little smaller and less detailed. Thanks to the contributions of Horacio Kanashiro, we have a lot of great photos from the show which we'll sort out and bring to you soon but I thought I would start out with these closeups of the Honda EVO6. Recumbent Motorcycle at Znug Design

By Paul Crowe

This recumbent motorcycle looks like it has been strongly influenced by the Japanese movie Akira. These renderings are very cool but since I do not read Japanese I can't tell you anything about it. From the looks of it, it appears to be powered by an electric motor, which could be the cylindrical object behind the front wheel, there are also no obvious exhaust pipes … [Read more...]

2008 Honda CB1000R

By Paul Crowe

Honda unveiled their 2008 CB1000R in Milan. They take the engine from the CBR1000RR and build a naked bike around it. The styling, which was done in Italy, has lots of edges and angles and to me may be an acquired taste though some riders might really like it. There's a 43mm inverted fork up front with a monoshock and single sided swingarm out back. ABS is available. It does … [Read more...]

The 414 pound RC8 has a powder coated Chromoly trellis frame rolling on 17 inch wheels with Brembo brakes. This is KTM's entry in the high power superbike market and it looks like a worthy contender. More photos and link below: … [Read more...]

Moto Guzzi V7 Classic

By Paul Crowe

Just introduced at the EICMA show, the Moto Guzzi V7 Classic is another retro standard taking it's place in the market along with classic models already offered by Triumph and Ducati. The V7 has a 2 valve 750cc engine and styling that draws heavily from the late '60s. Quite a few of you wrote in about the upcoming release of this bike. Is there a strong unserved market here? … [Read more...]
