Carl Myers left a comment the other day pointing to the Cy-Car TigerCat 3V2 concept, a Harley Davidson powered trike in the old Morgan style. There are several drawings of potential body configurations and they're looking for a little feedback, which direction looks best to you? Carl has owned a couple of motorcycle dealerships and also worked at Suzuki and Bombardier. … [Read more...]
Female Mechanics Calendar 2009
Sarah Lyon just let me know her 2009 Female Mechanics Calendar is available. I mention this every year because I think it's a neat project. This is the 3rd year for the calendar showcasing real female mechanics, not the swimsuit clad babes with a wrench, these are women fixing everything from motorcycles to Ferraris to tugboats and commercial jets. I'm still here, as always, but it's hard to work on computer code and tech stuff and write articles, too, the mental process is very different and it's hard to switch back and forth constantly, those of … [Read more...]
XS650 Cafe Racer and Street Tracker Conversions
Where are all of the nice, smaller displacement motorcycles that look good and are fun to ride? They're everywhere, you just need to do a little work. If you're looking for inexpensive options to a vintage British cafe racer, especially if you like the idea of building your own, you can start with a lot of different models, the Honda CB750 always gets a lot of attention but the … [Read more...]
