Suzuki B-King Custom – When Less is More

By Paul Crowe

After posting the photos of the Rockstar Hayabusa, some of you seemed to think the front end was a bit heavy looking compared to the new cleaned up tail section. Removing the fairings might clean things up even more, or perhaps, you could start with a Suzuki B-King, a Hayabusa powered standard with some, ...um, ... interesting, ... design touches. Suzuki had the Gregg's … [Read more...]

Rockstar Hayabusa – a Subtle but Radical Custom

By Paul Crowe

Hayabusa customs are everywhere, stretched swingarms, huge tires, turbos, nitrous, chrome all over and as wild as they are, they all use the same formula, if you've seen one, you've seen them all. This one's different. Built by Gregg's Customs and Jon Reed of Sport Chrome, you have to look really close or you wouldn't even know it was a Hayabusa, it looks more GSX-R than … [Read more...]

How do you go charging off in new directions if you have no extra money to invest in designing and building something new? Why not drop a model from the lineup? Why not 2 models? Supercharged NSU Straight 8 Trike Engine from Two Inline 4 Cylinder Auto Engines

By Paul Crowe

Several builders have taken the route of joining engines into a V configuration but Chris Ireland, editor of Brit Chopper magazine, sent me this photo of his just completed straight 8. The 6 month build is the combination of 2 1200cc NSU air cooled auto engines, joined end to end with the cranks running 90 degrees apart for that V8 sound and power delivery. He also attached a … [Read more...]
