Honda CBX Custom Exhaust – A New Twist

By Paul Crowe

The straight 6 cylinder engine in the Honda CBX is a pretty sweet piece of machinery and there have been numerous attempts to make nice looking custom exhaust systems. I came across this photo of one custom built CBX with pipes unlike any I've seen before. Visually interesting. Would they interfere with cooling? Just a cool bit of creativity. Suzuki AX200 2 Stroke Parallel Twin from 2 Singles

By Paul Crowe

Renjith Rao, one of The Kneeslider's readers in India, has taken his Suzuki AX100 single cylinder 2 stroke and turned it into a parallel twin. The crankshafts are mechanically connected inside the joined cases and run at 180 degrees. Though a 200cc engine may be small over here, it's a big jump from the small displacement engines of the type common in India. The appearance … [Read more...]

By Paul Crowe

Bruce Rossmeyer, the very well known owner of 15 dealerships, including the huge Destination Daytona, was killed in a motorcycling accident while riding from a Harley Davidson / Buell dealers meeting in Colorado on his way to Sturgis, SD. The line of riders was passing a pickup truck towing a camper trailer when it merged into the other lane. Our very sincere condolences to … [Read more...]

2010 Buell Models – Where’s the Blast?

By Paul Crowe

Buell introduced their 2010 models just like the Motor Company, and they are making a big deal of showing a Blast after a trip through the crusher. It just never made much of a sportbike. But, as luck would have it, it makes a killer ottoman. Or end table. Or art piece. Through an innovative process known as crushing, we’ve turned a limited number of Blasts into colorful … [Read more...]

2010 Harley Davidson Models Roll Out

By Paul Crowe

Harley Davidson rolled out their lineup for 2010 a few days ago with nine new models, though Harley's term "new models" is sometimes a bit of a stretch, mixing and matching accessories more than building something really new but there's nothing wrong with that. Harley is working with a tough economic environment and these bikes are a nice mix across the platforms. The Street … [Read more...]

Fox Gold Wings from Blake Morley

By Paul Crowe

Got a note from Blake Morley up in British Columbia, Canada about a modification kit he has available for model years 1988 to 2000 Honda Gold Wing 1500 SEs. He thought the fully faired bikes protect the rider just a bit too much and decided to make something a little more out in the wind. These Fox Goldwings have 10 custom fiberglass parts and some custom aluminum pieces, as … [Read more...]
