Nicky Hayden takes the pole for tomorrow's U.S. MotoGP race at Laguna Seca. Hayden was consistently the fastest rider on the track and at one time during qualifying was over 1 second faster than the next fastest rider. Hayden turned in a 1:22.67, the only rider in the 22's. Speaking of Yamaha, I just noticed this though it may be old news, it's the Yamaha MT-03 which looks like the baby brother of the MT-01 concept bike that was introduced in 1999. New Old Yamaha colors at Laguna Seca

Yamaha will have their bikes painted in the old yellow and black paint scheme of years gone by when they race this weekend at Laguna Seca.
