Harley Davidson went super bike racing back in the 90s and they built 50 of these VR1000s for the street for homologation purposes. They were street legal in Poland, but rumor has it a couple were also made street legal in the USA. This may be one of them. A photo with this listing shows the digital readout as”V3.01 HD_ROADUS 06/07/94,” which seems to back up that speculation. If so, this is even more rare than an already scarce model.
It comes from a private collection and has only 153 miles on the odometer. Of course, anyone serious about this bike is unlikely to ride it, most likely it will go into their collection next to a lot of other rare bikes.
It’s been serviced, runs fine and looks almost perfect except for some degradation of the seat material. The bodywork and mechanical pieces look to be in excellent shape.
If you’re a Harley Davidson collector with a space where a VR1000 should be, here’s your chance to fill it.
It’s for sale on eBay. Listing has ended. Sold for $63,157.00.
