1964 Harley Davidson Sportster XLCH Very Nice Restoration

By Paul Crowe

1964 Harley Davidson Sportster XLCH
1964 Harley Davidson Sportster XLCH with fresh restoration

From the days when the Harley Davidson Sportster ruled the street, this 1964 XLCH has been restored to its former glory. It looks good. These days the Sportster has grown into a larger and heavier bike and even though it’s more refined and possibly more powerful, these earlier models could more convincingly play the part of bare knuckle street fighter than recent designs.

If you remember those days, the appearance of one of these bad boys probably appeals to you a lot more than what you can find in the showrooms now. Any of the current Japanese bikes will beat it, that’s just the way it is, but there’s no mistaking the visual statement you get from a bike like this. It’s a throwback, but it brings a smile to my face.

It’s for sale on eBay. Sold.
