Vance & Hines V-Rod Supercharger

By Paul Crowe

Vance and Hines Supercharger on V-Rod

Vance and Hines Supercharger on V-RodVance and Hines, those guys who make the V-Rods go really quick at the drag strip, have developed a new supercharger for the V-Rod and it looks like a well engineered kit. Installation takes eight hours or less, it looks very clean and compact and when you’re done you get 152 rear wheel horsepower. Very nice!

The complete kit includes:

1. Sprintex Supercharger
2. Plenum Chamber
3. Throttle Body
4. Extended Water Pump Drive Shaft
5. Complete Secondary ECU, Map Sensor and a Boost Activated Fuel Injector
6. Kevlar Drive Belt
7. Electric Water Pump
8. Sub Wiring Harness

The supercharger gives you a 35% to 40% increase in both horsepower and torque without any turbo lag. Supercharger kits are very complete these days and with computer engine controls it’s easy for the kit manufacturer to figure out all of the proper engine mapping so you don’t have to fuss with anything, especially when you don’t have access to a chassis dyno. All you do is remove a few pieces and bolt on the kit. This is a great way to add power and I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of V-Rod owners agree.

They do suggest the addition of the Performance Heavy Duty Clutch Kit, too.

Wicked! One of my mates have a V-rod, I’m going to tell him to have a look at this. I wouldn’t mind having a go on 152hp v-rod. Wooot!
