The Kneeslider is just over 3 years old now and thanks to all of you it’s growing steadily. Yesterday we moved onto our own server, something that was long overdue, because the traffic at times gets a little heavy and the old arrangement just wasn’t working anymore.
Somewhere over (quite often WELL over) 10,000 of you stop by The Kneeslider, every day! In case you’re wondering, for a motorcycle website, that’s pretty good VERY good! You come by to see what’s happening in the world of motorcycles, read the comments and leave a few of your own. One of the best things about the traffic is where all of you come from, lots of you are from the United States, of course, but as I mentioned once before, Antarctica is about the only place I haven’t seen any readers from yet, as far as I know, but someone down there may have slipped in while I wasn’t watching. The readership here is a mix of everyone from riders just like yourself to designers, builders and industry leaders, we get traffic from almost every motorcycle company on a daily basis. So when you leave a comment and wonder if anyone sees it, … trust me, they do.
We get a lot of readers from the various branches of our military services, too. A VERY special thanks to all of you!
I’ve been rearranging the site a bit to make it easier to use but there’s still a lot more work to go, it’s a continual process. If there is something broken, just let me know and I’ll get it straightened out.
There are some really interesting stories in the works already, but if you know of a particular motorcycle or motorcycle related business or someone involved in the industry that might interest the folks here, let me know, maybe it will make a nice feature.
If you have a motorcycle related business and you’re wondering where you can advertise to reach a lot of passionate motorcycle riders and buyers really quickly, you should seriously consider The Kneeslider. Once your ad appears you’ll be seen worldwide in minutes. Do you think your business might benefit if 10,000 more motorcyclists knew about it by tomorrow?
As I said, all of this growth is because of all of you. I’ll keep doing my best to bring you stories you might not find anywhere else or maybe from a little different perspective. Don’t hesitate to leave your comments on those stories and use the contact form to let me know about anything else.
Thanks, again. Now, there’s much to write and stories to tell, I had better get back to work.

Congratulations Paul, and keep the “not so mainstream” content coming!
I check in here a few times daily. I’m sure many people do, and in my case it’s specifically because your site doesn’t read like just another press release for the major manufacturers.
Well done, and thanks!

Impressive at such a young age. Keep the edge!
What does “Happy Birthday to you…” sound like coming from 11,000 strong?
Randy says
Congrats! Keep on covering such a broad range of motorcycle-related topics and I’ll keep coming back every single day.

To Paul,
This is far and away my favorite moto-site. I visit almost every day. Keep up the great work.
To the other Kneeslider commenters,
You are all a cut above the average in moto-knowledge and the ability to get your heads around an idea that you didn’t think of yourselves. It’s refreshing, and a compliment to Paul’s work.

This is the only motorcycle related site I visit on a regular basis. The only one worth visiting.
Keep up the great work.

When I started seeing Hair Club ads I knew something was up. I mean, they don’t just advertise anywhere!
Your site is by far my favorite daily stop.

Hey, uh, Paul. There’s a reason, you know, why it’s so damn popular. Take a bow.

hey, THANK YOU. very, very much.

yup, this site is a daily favourite (aussie spelling) from a reader south of the equator.
I reckon you keep the true spirit and excitement of early day motorcycling alive and carry it into today. I’m talking what it must have felt like in 1899 when new ideas being thrown around and all that.
For those of us who are not involved in building bikes it’s great to have a view into the wonderful world that we live in by proxy, that of motorcycles. It makes our little Honda CB250s feel like a million bucks. Or maybe that’s just me.
Keep up the good work mate.

Greets here from sunny South Africa. Excellent blog — I read it every day.
Thanks a lot and keep up the good work!

I read the kneeslider now about 6 months, and i must say that this site is far different then other motor-related sites!
Thanks for that and keep us informed of the interesting “other” bikes!

Thanks again to everyone for the words of encouragement.
It often takes a lot more digging to come up with something that isn’t already being repeated by every other web site. While not every post will be unique, I try to bring something different to the discussion, something that might otherwise slip right by.
It looks like a lot of you appreciate that which is a good thing because that’s exactly the kind of story I enjoy writing. So keep checking back, you never know what might turn up.

The best place to be on a rainy day . 🙂

Jeff, you’re right. Those rainy days that don’t compel you to be doing something, except for reading and stoking the imagination, this site is tremendous. For those fairly new to this site, check out the links all around and catch up on some great stuff.

Some of the interesting things that pop up on here, I can’t imagine how much digging it would have taken to get the full details. There’s a reason why I’ve visited the site every morning for nearly a year. You should do a story on yourself, Paul.

The Kneeslider is my alltime #1 website for motorcycles. Love the obscure, weird and always fascinating shit you come up with. Fight the good fight!!
Tim says
I am really pleased to have discovered the site also. It reflects my wide ranging interest in basically anything with two wheels and an engine, from outlandish cartoon choppers, thru to hard core repli-racers.
Hopefully someone at Honda read our comments and i can order a CB1100R soon
