Motorcycle Art From the Renaissance

By Paul Crowe

Motorcycle art - Photoshop of original painting by Edward Burne-JonesSome of you may feel that spending time on The Kneeslider isn’t quite as uplifting or educational as it should be, perhaps you’re reading during work or school hours and you need to justify your time here, so today I thought it would be appropriate to bring you motorcycle art from the Renaissance. These are works from the masters, seldom seen except by those true collectors who know where to look. Sometimes the subjects of these paintings posed for a second work sponsored by a motorcycle company for their corporate headquarters. Who knew? OK, maybe not.

These are entries in the Worth1000 Photoshop contest, where famous paintings from the masters were adjusted slightly from the original, some are very cool, some are weird but these two stood out for some reason. Can you guess why?

In this day and age of the resurrection and demise of Indian motorcycles as a weekly event, do you really have to ask?

I thought she should be wearing a Ducati jacket, then it occurred to me that she’s only got a small smile. If she owned a Ducait, she’d have an ear to ear grin.

..I wonder what the “Laughing Christ” would look like in Triumph colors?
