It’s time to pull the dust cover off of the new year and roll it out into the sunlight, figuratively speaking of course, some of us are looking out of our windows at a lot of snow, but that doesn’t matter because it’s always sunny and warm here at The Kneeslider.
2010 is going to be a great year, I know that because no matter what is happening in this country and around the world, each of us can focus on what we’re doing, set our own goals, make our own plans and take action to make it a great year. No matter what your situation, whether you read The Kneeslider during some downtime at your job or business, at school, at one of our military installations around the world or from home, no matter what country you live in, whether you are employed or out of a job, you can be a “doer,” someone who gets things done even if everyone else is hunkering down and waiting for things to somehow magically improve. C’mon, life doesn’t have a “pause” button! Things don’t get better on their own, we make them better. If you wait long enough, you’ll be sure to get one thing, … older. Stop waiting and wishing, start doing!
Do you have an interesting bike? Tell us about it and it might become a Reader’s Rides feature. Did you run across a really well done motorcycle in your travels, take some photos and write a story, maybe you can guest post right here. Is your motorcycle business doing something different to bring in customers? Let us know.
Get started on that project bike, begin learning SolidWorks or mechanical engineering or whatever you find interesting, plan that cross country trip and set a date, start that new business, take action now and get ready for a great year. Happy New Year!

Paul you are so right! It’s hard to see being laid off as an opportunity… But that’s the perfect time to not push the pause button, need to find the go button!
Oh, and here’s my bike: http://www.rantthisspace.com/ConCours

I love those Connies. It sure does sound good for a grand. Maybe I’ll do some work to my Virago this winter. I got a new auto-darkening welding helmet for Christmas…

I just rode a free ’82 Seca 650 to work. Didn’t take long to clean it up and get running even though it hasn’t ran since ’92. It’s not kneeslider worthy as it only has pods and an aftermarket bar on it but it was free…

i commented on your last post, but i’ll say it again, The Kneeslider is the primary reason why I’ve kickstarted my love of motorcycles.

Thanks, Derek, always happy to give a little nudge to get things going.
