Happy Holidays from The Kneeslider

By Paul Crowe

Once again, as the end of the year approaches, I’m taking some time away from the computer. I’ll still be here, I’m working on a few projects, both online and offline, but I’ll be enjoying some necessary down time, too.

The Kneeslider is well into year 6 and whether you just found us or you’ve been here for years, I truly appreciate having you on board. Your participation and thoughtful comments are always welcome and I hope you’ve found a few things here to make stopping by worthwhile.

May all of you have a Merry Christmas and the best holiday season ever with your families and friends. I’m looking forward to a wonderful 2010 and I hope we can share it together. Enjoy the company of those close to you, take time to appreciate what you have, offer encouragement wherever needed, dream big, love life and we’ll see you in the new year.

Paul, I envy your computer skills in being able to put together a most readable and interesting forum on one of my favourite subjects. Your ability to source out interesting facets and present them in such a well written fashion is truly a standard by which others are judged. The wealth of information buried in the archives is second to none.

I wish you the very best of Christmases Paul … and to your family and the staff of the Kneeslider. I think we all are awaiting the new and interesting material that you will grace us with in 2010. Every good wish to you all.

From an old rider on the Wet Coast of Canada, eh?

(Yes, I’m in the 2010 country but intend to ignore the Olympics …)

Thanks for a great place to read about and comment on motorcycling. As others have said, you do a great job and I have been wanting to say for some time I love it when you end an article with “I think that’s neat.” I always reread the article when I see that, especially if I didn’t quite get it.

    You are the man.

Thanks Paul for another year of fine articles on this addiction we all share.
I trust your festive season will be fillled with enjoying the company of family and friends.
I really appreciate the moderation you provide on the comments pages, it serves to keep us all (mostly) civil and on topic.
The Kneeslider remains the first motorcycling site I hit each day to see what’s new. Keep up the superb work.

I found the kneeslider well over a year ago googling for info on wheelbuilding. it’s probably the main reason why i decided to leave bicycling as a hobby and buy a motorcycle (having my pictures published helped a little :D).

out of all the sites, this is the most mature and informative. you should up the ante in the new year by adding a forum.

    Hi there ,

You have probably already heard about the stepped piston twostroke Norton from the seventies; http://atlascardsplus.com/1975-norton-wulf-spx/
If not check this out , I was in my moped days when I read about it in a magazine but was already very interested in motorcycles and engine design. (hobby) I even designed a forcefed twostroke with a reciprocating membrane below the crankshaft on a second connecting rod. Only to find out later that Motobecane hab been there and done that. By yhe way , Kneeslider is my favourite site, can’t get enough of it.

    Bye bye , Harold.
