Speed Channel MotoGP commercials

By Paul Crowe

Way too many commercials during the race. They must have thought it was a NASCAR 500 miler with numerous 3 commercial breaks. They could have loaded up before and after and gone light during the race since it was live, but, hey… it was on which was great. But, note to Speed Channel, ease up on breaks in live races. Nuff said…

I’m still pinching myself with the fact that they showed not only the race live but they even showed qualifying!

I’m also very happy that MotoGP didn’t pull an F1 and screw up. I see this whole weekend as a huge win for us.

I agree, very positive overall. Great to see attendance at the race was huge, too. Maybe MotoGP will be a regular here in the States again. Hope so, I’d like to get out there next year.

The MotoGP race was an awesome sight – even on TV and even with the commercials! The US is a large enough market for two or even three of these events and the schedule has plenty of room!

The commentary was dreadful. The moment of silence and the anthem were both botched. It was a decent race but not a great one, but I would have liked the normal British guys announcing and one of those “presented without commercial interruption by _________” things. First US GP in 11 years, doesn’t seem that far out to put off the commercials.
