Some Changes Under the Hood at The Kneeslider and Other Observations

By Paul Crowe

With all of this enforced downtime I decided it would be a great opportunity to learn a lot more programming and write some code, so that’s what I’ve been doing. There were some technical issues with all of The Kneeslider’s back end pages listing motorcycles, parts and collectibles for sale, so I rebuilt them. There’s more work to do, but they’re pretty nice right now, in fact, I kept finding myself looking at a lot of the items for sale as I was checking to make sure the pages worked, so check them out yourself if you haven’t already. Yes, they’re eBay listings and The Kneeslider is an eBay partner so if you make any purchase through one of those links, you’re helping to keep this site online and I appreciate it.

The shutdowns we’re all experiencing to one degree or another are doing a great deal of damage to lives and businesses and it’s long past the time when we should be getting back to work. I hope some of you have been working on your own projects during this truly bizarre time, learning something new and being productive in some way. Many areas are starting to open their doors again and I think we all hope to see that happening everywhere very soon. The weather is getting a lot better, even in the northeastern parts of the US, so get out and ride if you can.

I hope you are all doing well and that the effects of the shutdown on your home and family have been minimal. Here at The Kneeslider headquarters, we’re doing fine, though we now have two home offices instead of one. Yes, I’m ready for this craziness to be over, how about you?

Your website was a beacon compared to others, both in content and especially in appearance, being so clean and easy to read. Keep it up!, and thanks!

I’ve always aimed for a more positive outlook, though these shutdowns are aggravating, even for someone like me, but I think there’s light up ahead.

    Hi Paul,
We are in lockdown here down under too. Glad you’re still at it and looking forward to seeing what you get up to.

This is a very good time to have a workshop – still working on getting mine finished – a lot more work, time, and money than I expected, but the results should be more than worth it!

A nice workshop is a project all by itself and yours should be pretty impressive when it gets finished, but are they ever?. Good to hear from you, Bob.
