Roger Allmond Triumph Rocket 3 Custom Finished

Roger Allmond's Triumph Rocket 3 custom

Got word from Roger Allmond yesterday that his Triumph Rocket 3 custom was just finished late Saturday night. He had some photos taken over at MCN and they have the first one up.

It’s certainly one big and beefy custom, exactly what you would expect given the bike he started with, though there’s very little of that bike left, except for the engine. Most everything you see comes from Roger’s own handiwork.

I will be talking to Roger soon to get more of his thoughts about how he went about building this beast. I’ll be curious, too, about what the Triumph crowd thinks.

    Very sexy! I love these custom sport bikes. I bet it is quite a difficult bike to master.

    I’m becoming more and more ok with the asymmetry of the one sided front suspensions.

    Wow, very cool! It’s like a streetfighter/cruiser. I have to admit, I was skeptical when I saw the first working photos.

    Very neat job integrating the radiator into the design. These can be tough to bring off and often look just patched on. Not so here. I’d like to see how it looks from the near side, which is not the best face of the stock Rocket 3.

    I noticed that all the MCN video focused on the right side of the bike. Could it be that the left side just ain’t that good lookin’?

    Roger Allmond is obviously very talented. Too bad that only one half of his bike demonstrates that talent.

    Ottoman, single sided suspensions don’t inherently flex any more or less than telescopic forks. Cannondale made serious mountain bikes which had a single sided telescopic fork suspension.

    That particular front suspension unit looks like it should be more than sturdy enough.

    I wouldn’t worry about whether the Front SS Suspension is realistic or not on that bike… chances are it’s never going to see more than a parking lot or two during a photoshoot. Did a great job with it. Love the color. Would hate to see what insurance would cost for a sportbike with a motor of that size though, lol.

    I think the wheels are sexy. Want to do a fitment for my 03 speed triple? 🙂
