Rocket bike

By Paul Crowe

Rocket BikeWhat happens if you take a bicycle and strap on a rocket? Donald Pottier did just that and set a new record at 242.61kph (that’s 150.75 mph). Now, I’ve had my ZX11 up at that speed but a bicycle? Hmm… I didn’t know there were any Z-rated bicycle tires. A man and his workshop can be an interesting combination. This was a few years ago but I don’t know if anyone has been crazy enough to try to break that record. Thanks, Aaron.

Fantastic! How on earth did they get the tyres to stand the speed?
Good job he didn’t fall off!
