These helmets are some of the best looking helmets I’ve ever seen. They may not be your choice for high speed sportbike riding because there are only a few full face models but the appearance of these helmets under several brand names, Laura Smith, Cromwell, Gran Turismo and MOMO Design are not like you will find in any of your local helmet shops or anywhere online that I’ve seen. The Laura Smith line seems to be directed exclusively at women which is interesting after addressing the woman rider issue yesterday. Are they safe? Do they meet any safety standards? Digging through the entirely Italian website gave me no indications though the information may have been buried in there somewhere.
These strike me as the kind of helmet you would see on someone riding a Vespa scooter through a little Italian town or perhaps on an very old Moto Guzzi or Ducati, maybe a Vincent. Again, old style with a very appealing look.
It looks like they are solely in Italy at the moment. Are there any international distributors? Don’t know but I may have to check into that. These are cool.
Update: You can order Cromwell Helmets online.

From Roller Ball to Tomb Raider, these helmets are a wonderful design twist on the run of the mill Brain Bucket Biz.
Very cool indeed!

PS. I just found this site today for the first time while looking up Goldammer Cycles on Google.
You have done a great job, I will be back often!

Oh look. It’s the Rocketeer’s brother. ;D

Yeah? And what do you have against the Rocketeer? (He said, while donning his jetpack.)

LOL! 😀
I saw some of the full face ones (MOMO DEvil) and it seems like fogging is a huge problem because the mouth area is lower than usual. Unless of course they have large vents to handle your breath.
