H&P Trading in Plankstadt, Germany has created the new motorcycle powered Street-Ray. The Street-Ray is motivated by a 40hp 460cc, water cooled, single cylinder, fuel injected motorcycle engine. Transmission is a CVT with reverse gear.
Martin Preuss, who founded Technop, a machine building company, was importing Chinese made quads, scooters and beach buggies. He didn’t like the quality of those machines and decided if he wanted something nicer, he would have to do it himself. After designing and building a few vehicles he met German designer Luigi Colani who was impressed with Preuss’ ideas and immediately came up with a design for the new Street-Ray. What you see here is the result.
It’s a single seater with a rear camera in place of rear view mirrors, 18 liter fuel capacity and has a top speed of about 85mph.
Small displacement, aerodynamic vehicles like this could be interesting as fuel prices rise. Fuel mileage is quite likely very good though Martin didn’t mention any specific figures.

I wouldn’t be caught dead in such an ugly and underpowered vehicle, and I don’t care if it can get 100 miles to the gallon. Way too big for a single seater.
