ProCharger has been going to all of the shows, including SEMA last week, letting everyone know about their intercooled ProCharger for Harley Davidson twin cam EFI V-Twins. If you’re riding a Harley and would like to bolt on some serious horsepower, these ProChargers can boost power from 50% to 65%, which the company says means 180-plus hp out of the new 95-cid engines! Install time is about 4 to 6 hours and the blower doesn’t affect drivability or rider position, all you notice is the kick in the butt when you twist the throttle. Price is $5135.
ProCharger makes superchargers for automotive, truck, marine and motorcycle applications and this unit looks very well finished. It’s designed to run on pump gas, with either stock or modified V-Twins and a 3 year warranty is available.

If power is what you’re looking for, why start with such an outdated engine design (you know, based on a 40’s tractor)? Wouldn’t it be a whole lot cheaper and easier to just get a bike that’s designed for power?

I think a 50-65% gain on a Harley would only net you around 100hp. Are they suggesting the stock engine already pumps out 110hp?

It’s hard to keep track of all the Harley engines but some of their new ones are in the 90 horsepower range. The Prochargers also work on both stock and modified engines. The big numbers are most likely not stock to begin with.
Check the dyno charts on the Procharger site. Depending on boost and engine configuration, they get as high as 156hp at the rear wheel which should be at least 180 at the crank.

don’t forget to update your brakes, possibly better forks, and maybe gusset the frame
todd says
from the dyno charts I’ve seen, only the V-rods have gotten close to the 90hp range. Does HD (not Buell) have a more powerful air cooled engine than the V-rod? Sorry if I’m beating a dead horse…

Took a quick look at a few of the published stats for 2007, and they are saying the 96ci efi engines are getting ~90 hp stock. Still ~600 lb bikes. 😀

i need to know if you offer procharger for a 2003 hayabusa and the cost of the whole set up.
