Honda Forza Smart 2-seater Concept Scooter

By Paul Crowe

Honda Forza Smart concept scooterHonda is introducing a few new concept vehicles at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2007 this weekend, among them is this Forza Smart scooter which looks rather nice. If scooters keep improving and looking like this, they could win over a lot more riders.

Honda press release follows:

TOKYO, Japan, January 10, 2007– Honda Motor Co., Ltd. announced it will display four concept vehicles developed by Honda Access Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary manufacturing genuine Honda aftermarket products, at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2007 with NAPAC1, to be held Friday to Sunday, January 12-14, 2007 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture, Japan. Headlining the Honda display will be the Forza Smart 2-seater scooter, and the Fit Daily Active, Stream Hyper Sport, and Stream Exclusive concept automobiles.

This 250cc scooter combines high quality comfort with information-related functions for safe and pleasant city riding for two. The Forza Smart 2-seater can be equipped with the same ‘go-anywhere’ portable AVN entertainment system as the Fit Daily Active concept vehicle, allowing easy transposition from one to the other for increased versatility. Conversation between operator and passenger is facilitated by the inter-communication system and music can be shared thanks to the front/rear speakers. Body and seat color themes are coordinated with that of the Fit Daily Active concept vehicle. The LED headlights, LED front fog lights, welcome lighting and passenger backrest with built-in wing-type high visibility high-mount stop lamp also reflect the same up-to-date concept seen in the Fit Daily Active. The Forza Smart 2-seater is all about fun, comfortable city riding for two.

City Riding (peril, esp. TWO-UP) = Scooter Pilot (novice, ditto 2-up)… HUH?!

    That concept evades my understanding.

Scooters are great but just give me a simple, no-frills, inexpensive model. Vespa didn’t get so well known because they had luxo-scooters. Think not-lots-of-money, attract new comers, etc.

you guys are haters, this is a great looking scooter and looks comfortable. my mom and i are thinking of buying a two seater to avoid taking public transportation. also with scooters you can avoid traffic by zipping around the cars! 😀 i really hope we plan on getting one ^_^
