Harley Davidson Great Roads

By Paul Crowe

Harley DavidsonHarley Davidson has a few neat sections on their web site to help you nail down a great route for that next long ride. Their ride planner allows you to set your starting and end points, where you want to stop and after it’s all plugged in you end up with a neatly planned trip. The other cool tool is their “great roads” section, it highlights some of the best roads around the country, gives lots of details and you can read reviews and add your own.

Sometimes, if you’re planning a ride in an area you may not have been before, it’s nice to get an idea of what’s out there. A few ideas and suggestions help make sure you don’t miss that one attraction two miles off the main highway that makes your whole trip really worthwhile.

This time of year a lot of you are thinking about trips you’ll take in the coming months. You might want to check this out.

I was hoping for a route mapper that pointed out the most scenic roads on your intended trip. Think “mapquest” that understands the best route isn’t always the freeway and gives scenic road choices. I’m sure it’s out there somewhere, maybe like a map for bicycles or something. as a comparison to the HD Great Roads for pre-planned road trips, there’s the more excellent and successful pashnit.com
