The first customer Musket V-Twin build is about to begin. Aniket has an almost new Royal Enfield 500ES from a collector and builder in Massachusetts who is having his bike converted.
Though Aniket has been working on the Musket project for years, (the first time we saw it was in April of 2009) and knows every bit of it intimately, this first actual customer conversion will determine what it takes to do the job from start to finish. It’s easy to lose track of how much time and work is involved when the project is your own, so this will help determine pricing for future builds. He’ll also be able to calculate time and cost for those who just want the parts and plan to do the work themselves.
I’m pretty sure there are a lot of Royal Enfield owners looking forward to seeing the finished Musket and getting antsy to begin their own conversions. A new company may be about to take off. I certainly hope so!

Cool! I’ve been following this through the project and will show this to our Enfield dealer near here.
Keep it going!

Let’s hope Enfield picks up on this, and hires Aniket to do the development for production. That would be an Enfield worth having!
