Dynomation engine simulation software

By Paul Crowe

Dynomation engine simulation softwareWhen you try to get the last bit of horsepower out of your Hayabusa, it might help if you understand what’s going on inside. More boost and a double shot works for a little while but when you’re gathering up the shattered remains of your engine you might think about learning about things like gas pressure and flow velocity, runner lengths, port taper angles, header tubing and collector dimensions, cam timing interactions, … you know, all of the real magic that makes the big numbers.

Dynomation engine simulation software by Pro Racing Sim, lets you analyze all of those things and a whole lot more. They have several different packages available and cover the needs of the interested engineer and engine builder up to the professional shop. Just reading their web site gives a tech guy like me that warm and fuzzy feeling. Single cylinder or V12 or anything in between, this looks like the tool to have. I like it.
