Cobra USA makes aftermarket parts for lots of motorcycles, metric cruisers and Harley Davidsons. They also have what they call their Special Projects Division, which is where they create their show bikes. Denny Berg is their chief builder and he works with designer Mike Rinaldi to create some really great looking customs.
Last night, on Corbin’s Ride On show, they were featured along with a few of their bikes. I particularly liked this Harley Davidson Trakker which is HD powered but most everything else is custom fabricated except for Sportster forks, some old HD pegs and handlebars and Performance Machine wheels.
The rear suspension is a custom torsion bar setup. The tank and body are carbon fiber. It just shows what you can do as a custom builder without going the chopper route. Very cool.
Looking over the various show bikes they’ve turned out makes you appreciate what a master craftsman Denny Berg really is. Very nice work!

very nice bike, and at least 5 years before the biker build off trendiness (if memory serves me right).
I followed the link, and was suprised that any new bikes since then are kinda bland (although their take on the indian-kawasaki was nice. not sure why kawasaki never really ran with it – a few years too early?)
the honda valk hot rod brings back memories – I thought this was a honda bike? or were the four super-valks commisioned rather than designed in house? along with this tracker, one of my favorite concept bikes from the era was the drag themed honda with an alloy frame and giant hoosier slick…
