Moto Student

The Moto Engineering Foundation (MEF) has started the MotoStudent competition in Spain aimed at university students, where their goal is to design and build motorcycles leading to a competition against students from Spanish and other European universities and eventually worldwide. IRS1000 Tilting Reverse Trike

By Paul Crowe

IRS1000

Two years ago when the Piaggio MP3 was getting all of the attention as the new tilting 3 wheeler, lots of other companies were trying to adapt the technology for use on motorcycles. Harley Davidson had their idea, the Brudeli Leanster showed up and more recently, Tilting Motor Works put a 2 wheel front end on a Vmax. The IRS1000 was another attempt that appeared back then. D1200R – BMW Based Concept Motorcycle

By Paul Crowe

Every now and then, one of the many emails we receive from designers and builders stands out from the crowd, and this project, the BMW D1200R by Pablo Gonzalez de Chaves and Carlos Beltran, is one of the best to come along in quite some time. Pablo started with the idea of improving and transforming the BMW R1200R into a new motorcycle, with a new front suspension, a new … [Read more...]

One thing that would be helpful is a photo of a rider on the bike to get an … [Read more...]

They're making just 45 and you can have yours for only $110,000. If you want to blend in, this is not your bike. The catalog makes it seem they have a special edition of some sort but there are specs for a 2009 … [Read more...]

Ducati SportClassic GT 1000 Touring

By Paul Crowe

Ducati has just introduced the latest version of their SportClassic line, the GT 1000 Touring. It has all of the 1970s flavor you could want and to my eyes, it looks pretty sweet. A 2 valve, 992 cc, fuel injected, desmo L-twin with 92 hp and 67 foot pounds of torque runs through a 6 speed box. The bike weighs 407 pounds. The bike is black with a white stripe, there are … [Read more...]
