Yamaha Posts Quarterly Loss as Sales Decline
Yamaha posted its first quarterly loss in 4 years. Since Yamaha gets 90 percent of its revenue outside of Japan, the strong yen didn't help. The company had a fourth-quarter loss of 41.65 billion yen ($467 million) compared with a net income of 3.73 billion yen in the year-earlier period.
