G-Oil was introduced at the SEMA show last week. G-Oil is a green oil that is completely petroleum free, it's made from "American grown base oils" which seems to be rendered beef tallow in this case. The American Petroleum Institute should be issuing certification within a month and it's available for all automotive applications from ordinary engines to high performance, … [Read more...]
Polaris Delivers ATV with Multi Fuel Patriot Engine
What do you call a spark ignition engine that runs on JP8, the military’s standard fuel for jets and most everything else? You call it Patriot. Hmm ... The other interesting aspect of this engine is that this is the one … [Read more...]

Actually, we could also call it a Kawasaki V8 or a Yamaha V8, because it could be any of those, too. When I was talking to Greg Nelson of Nelson Engineering about his V-Quad engine, we also talked a bit about the V8. Greg used to race circle … [Read more...]

After writing about the V-Quad engine the other day, I had the opportunity to talk with Greg Nelson. Greg's a pretty interesting guy and after discussing the V-Quad, I think it has some potential. A few readers looked at it and were not very impressed, but Greg thought it would give the custom builders something a little different to play with not to mention it would be a nice … [Read more...]
