Vicente Design EFI SR400 Board Tracker

By Paul Crowe

EFI SR400 Board Tracker from Vicente Design

Remember Vicente Design? Jean François Vicente is the man behind the Triumph Millenium 900 and many other really good looking custom builds and he sent me some images of his most recent design, this one based on the Yamaha SR400 and SR500. He calls it the EFI SR400 Board Tracker, a sort of rebirth of this vintage, but still very popular motorcycle, bringing new technology and … [Read more...]

American Chopper TV Show Canceled

By Paul Crowe

American Chopper Canceled

The long running pseudo reality show American Chopper has been canceled. After Paul, Jr. left the show and Paul, Sr. sued his son, the show finally succumbed to the same fate as many custom build shops. The finale will run this Thursday, February 11th. Now if TLC could start a show about real builders without all of the made for TV drama, they might have something. Link: … [Read more...]

Tell us about it and it might become a Reader's … [Read more...]

Southsiders Triton - CP Project One

Vincent Prat thought we might be interested in seeing a French interpretation of the venerable Triton and pointed out the CP Project One, done with Frank Charriaut and builder Daniel Delfour, a rather sleek machine with an interesting look and a few ideas I'm not so sure of, like the lack of a front brake and the extra long fork tubes, but, no matter, the whole bike looks … [Read more...]

Super Rat Trident Café Racer

Super Rat cafe racer

For Carl Bjorklund of Bellingham, Wash., the 1970 Triumph Trident basket case leaning in the corner would replace his Norton café racer . . . some day. In August 2009, a nudge from friend Young Pon got the wheels rolling. “I knew my next café racer was going to be a Trident,” Bjorklund said. “That basket and frame had been sitting for years. Young just said ‘yeah, … [Read more...]
