Just last week, it was announced Buell would be consolidating their operations under a single roof, but it now appears, they changed their mind, plans for the move have been called off. Harley’s new management team looked over the upcoming project and decided now was not the time. Construction was set to begin very soon which caught everyone a bit off guard.
“Buell has decided to maintain its current facilities given the current economic climate,†Harley-Davidson spokeswoman Rebecca Bortner said. …
Harley-Davidson’s Bortner said that by staying in its existing facilities, Buell will be better able to “prudently manage†its capital expenditures and avoid incurring moving expenses at this time.
Bortner said she wasn’t familiar with the particulars of any lease agreement or whether a lease had been signed
So, … um, never mind.
