Bostrom wins Pikes Peak

By Paul Crowe

Mat Mladin can be beaten by a combination of a track that abuses tires and great riding by some other riders. Eric Bostrom has something going at Pikes Peak, today’s win is number 6 for him at the track. He followed Aaron Yates for quite a few laps and made a last lap pass for the win after being passed earlier by Yates. Mladin had to pit for a rear tire as did several others but Bostrom and Yates rode the whole race non stop. Ben Spies picked up third and Mladin fought back up to fourth. Good race on a short, tough track.

Dude.. c’mon with the spoilers.. Some of us have TiVo ok???

How about “Pikes Peak Superbike Results” instead of “Bostrom wins Pikes Peak”?

Many races are televised after they are run and when that occurs I link to results without revealing the winner in my headline. Once the race is both run and televised, I often name the winner right up front. I’m aware that the world time-shifts but today is four days after the race and you can now even see the results on the cover of the printed weekly papers like Cycle News. This IS the internet, after all. If you want to watch the race on TiVo more than four days after the race is complete, you’ll have to avoid the internet and the news stands in order to avoid knowledge of the outcome.

Well, I was out of town.. your site comes up in my “Daily Brose” and wham.. SPOILED..

I don’t think it’d hurt you at all to NOT spoil in the titles of your articles.

Even SuperbikePlanet (formerly AMASuperbike) does this.

    Whatever.
